Address and opening hours

• Address: 51 Chinese Cemetery Path 4, Singapore 698932, within the Choa Chu Kang Cemetery Complex • Opening hours: 8.00 am to 5.30 pm daily • NEA hotline: [6225 5632](tel:+6562255632)

The cemetery office, which handles niche bookings at the counter, keeps different hours from the columbarium gates. For the booking counter's hours and documents, see Choa Chu Kang Columbarium: prices and booking.

A word on regular-day bus routes

NEA's own pages for this columbarium do not name a nearest MRT station or a regular bus service, and bus services around the cemetery complex have been rerouted recently, with some stops relocated. Rather than give you a route that may have changed, we suggest checking the live route on the LTA or your map app on the day, and calling the NEA hotline if you are unsure.

If you are not driving, a taxi or private hire car is the simplest way in for most families, especially when carrying an urn or a bouquet.

Taxi and private hire

During the 2026 Qingming period, NEA set drop-off for taxis and private hire cars at Carpark E, just outside the columbarium, with pick-up at a tent outside the main entrance. No e-appointment was needed for taxis. Outside peak periods, ask your driver for the columbarium entrance at 51 Chinese Cemetery Path 4.

The free shuttle: peak periods only

In the 2026 Qingming period, NEA ran a free shuttle between Yew Tee MRT (Exit C, bus stop 45321) and the columbarium. It operated on Good Friday and on weekends from 21 March to 19 April, from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm, every 30 minutes and every 15 minutes between 9.00 am and 2.00 pm.

Treat this as a peak-period service. Dates change every year, and NEA has not described a shuttle for ordinary days. Check NEA's advisory before the next Qingming.

💡 Tip

For the busiest visiting weeks of the year and what to expect at both government columbaria, see Qingming Festival Singapore.

Driving and parking

On ordinary days NEA does not ask drivers to book. During the 2026 Qingming period, drivers visiting between 6.00 am and 4.00 pm on Good Friday and on the listed weekends needed an e-appointment, booked in 2-hour slots, and had to show proof of booking to the traffic wardens before parking. Vehicles over 2,500 kg unladen weight, such as large buses, coaches and trucks, were not allowed in.

Chinese Cemetery Path 4 itself was closed to vehicles other than NEA shuttle buses, authorised vehicles and emergency vehicles. Lim Chu Kang Road has also been realigned between Jalan Bahar and Old Choa Chu Kang Road, so allow extra travel time and follow the signs.

Works on site

NEA noted that columbarium works are ongoing at Choa Chu Kang. Occupied niches remain accessible, but visitors are asked to stay away from hoarded areas.

⚠️ Important

Transport arrangements here are mostly published by NEA for the Qingming period and change every year. This page was last checked against NEA's published advisory on 4 November 2026. Confirm the current arrangements with NEA before you travel.
